CA Foundation Result September 2026: Expected Date, Time, Scorecard & Pass Percentage

Students who appeared for the CA Foundation September 2026 examination — held on 2, 5, 7, and 9 September 2026 — are now waiting for the official result from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). As of 12 September 2026, ICAI has not officially announced the CA Foundation September 2026 result date or time. This guide covers the latest status, the expected (non-official) timeline, how to check your result once declared, the scorecard, passing marks, pass percentage, toppers, and what to do next — with official and expected information kept clearly separate throughout.

CA Foundation September 2026 Result – Quick Overview

Latest Update – CA Foundation September 2026 Result

Latest Update (12 September 2026): As of today, ICAI has not officially announced the CA Foundation September 2026 result date. The examination concluded three days ago with the Business Economics paper on 9 September 2026, and ICAI's evaluation process is underway. When ICAI publishes the official notification, this page will be updated with the confirmed result date, official result time, direct result link, pass percentage, and topper details (if released). Students preparing for the wait — or already looking ahead to their next steps — can review the paper-wise breakdown of this attempt or start planning for CA Intermediate in the meantime.

CA Foundation September 2026 Result Date

ICAI has not officially confirmed a result date for this attempt at the time of writing. The only reliable source for the confirmed date is ICAI's official website and its official result portal — students should not treat any date circulating on social media, WhatsApp groups, or unverified coaching blogs as confirmed unless it traces back to an ICAI notification.

Expected Timeline (Not Official): Based on ICAI's pattern in recent sessions — the CA Foundation September 2025 result was declared on 3 November 2025, roughly eight weeks after the last exam paper — students may expect an update sometime in late October to early November 2026. This is a historical pattern only, not a confirmation, and ICAI can move the date earlier or later without prior notice. Rely only on the official announcement.

CA Foundation September 2026 Result Time

ICAI has not announced an official result time for this attempt. In several previous sessions, ICAI has released Foundation results in the afternoon or evening on the declared date, but previous release times do not guarantee the September 2026 result time. Treat any specific hour mentioned online as speculation until ICAI's official notification confirms it. The safest approach is to check the official ICAI website directly on the announced date rather than planning around an assumed time.

Where to Check CA Foundation September 2026 Result

Once ICAI declares the result, it will be published on the official ICAI result portal. The general process, based on ICAI's standard procedure for past sessions, is:

1. Visit the official ICAI result website (typically accessible via icai.org or the dedicated results subdomain).
2. Select the CA Foundation September 2026 result link once it goes live.
3. Enter your registration number and roll number (and any additional verification code requested).
4. Submit the details.
5. View your result status on screen.
6. Download or save the scorecard if it is made available at that stage.

Bookmark ICAI's official website rather than a third-party mirror, and avoid any site asking for payment, OTPs, or unrelated personal information to "unlock" your result — ICAI's official result check is free and requires only your registration and roll number.

How to Download CA Foundation September 2026 Scorecard

Scorecards are typically made available on the official ICAI portal at or shortly after the result declaration, following the same login process used to check your result — registration number and roll number. Once available, download the scorecard as a PDF and save at least two copies (one digital, one printed), since it is an important document for CA Intermediate registration and future reference. If ICAI's process for this session differs (for instance, if scorecards are issued separately from the result status), that detail will only be confirmed once ICAI publishes its official notification, so avoid assuming a specific format in advance.

Details Mentioned on CA Foundation Result / Scorecard

Based on ICAI's standard result and scorecard format for previous sessions, students can generally expect to see:

• Candidate name and roll number
• Registration number
• Subject-wise marks for all four papers (Accounting, Business Laws, Quantitative Aptitude, Business Economics)
• Total marks and percentage
• Overall result status (pass/fail)

Always cross-check every field against your own records — name spelling, roll number, and registration number — and report any discrepancy through ICAI's official grievance/helpdesk channel rather than assuming it will self-correct.

CA Foundation Passing Marks 2026

Under the applicable ICAI scheme, a CA Foundation candidate must secure a minimum of 40% marks in each individual paper and an aggregate of 50% across all four papers in the same attempt to pass. Note that the objective papers (Quantitative Aptitude and Business Economics) carry negative marking of one-fourth of the marks allotted for each incorrect answer, which affects the final aggregate calculation. This passing criterion applies specifically to CA Foundation — it should not be confused with the passing scheme for CMA Foundation, which follows its own separate criteria. Students revisiting their preparation approach for these papers can review the paper-wise structure through the CA Foundation Coaching programme.

CA Foundation September 2026 Pass Percentage

The official pass percentage for CA Foundation September 2026 will be available only after ICAI announces the result, and this article will be updated with the appeared-candidate count, passed-candidate count, and overall pass percentage at that time. For context, pass percentages fluctuate meaningfully between sessions — the CA Foundation January 2026 attempt, for instance, recorded an overall pass percentage of around 19%, underscoring why CA Foundation is widely regarded as a paper where consistent, structured preparation matters more than last-minute effort. This historical figure is provided only for context and is not an indicator of the September 2026 outcome.

CA Foundation September 2026 Toppers List

Official topper and merit-list information for this attempt will be updated here only once ICAI publishes it, if ICAI chooses to release rank-holder details for this session (ICAI has published a top-50 merit list in several recent attempts, but this is not guaranteed for every session). No topper names, ranks, or predicted scores are included in this article before the official announcement — any name circulating online before ICAI's confirmation should be treated as unverified.

How to Check Your CA Foundation September 2026 Result Without Mistakes

• Use only the official ICAI website or its verified result subdomain — never a third-party link shared over social media or messaging apps.
• Keep your registration number, roll number, and admit card handy before the result window opens.
• Check your internet connection in advance, since traffic spikes on result day can slow page loads.
• Avoid unofficial or "early access" result links promising instant results before ICAI's official time.
• Verify your name, roll number, and registration number carefully before downloading or sharing your scorecard.
• Save a copy immediately once you view your result, rather than assuming you can retrieve it later without issue.

What to Do After Passing CA Foundation?

Clearing CA Foundation moves you to the next stage of the Chartered Accountancy course: CA Intermediate. Before registering, it helps to understand the course structure, applicable study period, and registration process on ICAI's official portal rather than relying on outdated information, since procedural requirements can be revised between sessions. Once you're ready to plan your preparation, it's worth reviewing the complete CA course overview to see how Foundation, Intermediate, Final, and articleship training fit together, and exploring CA Intermediate coaching — and eventually CA Final coaching — to build a structured study plan for the stages ahead. If you'd like to understand SAC's faculty and teaching approach before committing further study time, the faculty profile and why students choose Sachin Ajmera Classes pages cover this. Students who are also weighing a parallel professional route can review the CMA vs CA comparison before committing further study time.

What If You Do Not Pass CA Foundation September 2026?

A single attempt not going as hoped is not unusual at this level — CA Foundation pass percentages have historically stayed on the lower side across sessions. If your result doesn't meet the passing criteria:

1. Don't make major academic decisions immediately after seeing the result.
2. Analyse your subject-wise marks carefully once the scorecard is available.
3. Identify which paper(s) pulled your aggregate down and by how much.
4. Review your preparation approach honestly — was it a concept gap, a time-management issue, or an unfamiliar question style?
5. Work through previous attempts' question papers to understand recurring patterns.
6. Build a structured plan for your next attempt rather than repeating the same routine.

Guided support can make this restart more effective — the CA Foundation Coaching Jaipur programme, question bank, and the broader CA Coaching Jaipur faculty team are built specifically for this kind of structured revision. No coaching programme, including this one, can promise guaranteed success — consistent, focused preparation is what actually moves the outcome.

CA Foundation Result vs Scorecard – What Is the Difference?

These two terms are often used interchangeably but mean slightly different things. Your result status is the pass/fail outcome ICAI declares on the result date. Your marks details refer to the subject-wise and aggregate marks behind that outcome. The scorecard is the official document — usually a downloadable PDF — that consolidates your candidate details, subject-wise marks, total marks, and result status in one verified record. You typically see your result status first, with the detailed scorecard becoming downloadable at the same time or shortly after, depending on ICAI's process for that session.

Common Problems While Checking CA Foundation Result

• Website traffic: ICAI's result portal often experiences heavy load right after declaration, which can slow page response — try again after a few minutes rather than refreshing repeatedly.
• Incorrect credentials: Double-check your registration number and roll number against your admit card before submitting.
• Slow loading or timeouts: Try a stable internet connection, and avoid checking during the very first few minutes of peak traffic if you can wait slightly.
• Browser issues: Clear your cache or try an alternate browser if the page doesn't load correctly.
• Forgotten registration details: Keep your ICAI Self Service Portal (SSP) login and admit card accessible in advance so you're not searching for details under pressure.

For persistent technical issues, refer to ICAI's official instructions or the appropriate ICAI helpdesk channel rather than relying on unofficial fixes suggested by social media.

What Students Should Avoid Before the Result

• Trusting fake or "leaked" result dates shared without an official ICAI source.
• Sharing your registration number, roll number, or SSP login credentials with anyone claiming to "check your result early."
• Clicking on suspicious result links received via SMS, WhatsApp, or email that don't lead to an official ICAI domain.
• Relying on unverified social media screenshots claiming to show results before ICAI's official declaration.
• Assuming a pass or fail outcome based only on unofficial answer keys — these are not scoring references and should be treated only as a general learning aid, not a result predictor.
• Panicking over informal result predictions circulating in student groups — they carry no official weight.
