CA Foundation Admit Card January 2027: Release Date, Download Link & Exam Day Instructions

The CA Foundation admit card for January 2027 has not been released yet. As of 2 November 2026, ICAI has announced the exam dates (3, 5, 7 and 9 January 2027) and the exam form schedule, but it has not announced when the admit card will be available. When it goes live, you will download it from ICAI's Self Service Portal (SSP) at eservices.icai.org using your SSP login. This guide covers the release status, the download steps, what to check on the card, what to do if something goes wrong, and the exam-day rules. We will update it as soon as ICAI publishes the card.

CA Foundation Admit Card Release Date and Current Status

ICAI has not announced a release date for the CA Foundation January 2027 admit card. Treat any "confirmed" date on social media or other websites with caution until ICAI notifies it on icai.org or on SSP.

What ICAI has officially announced so far

ICAI's Examination Department issued its Important Announcement for the January 2027 Foundation and Intermediate examinations on 23 September 2026. For Foundation candidates, the key dates are:

Online exam form opens on SSP3 November 2026
Last date without late fee16 November 2026
Last date with late fee (₹600)19 November 2026

When could the admit card be released?

There is no official answer yet, but earlier sessions give a rough idea. ICAI's Guidance Notes for the September 2026 session said the admit card would be available on SSP around 14 days before the examination. In practice, recent uploads came earlier: media reports place the January 2026 admit cards at 18 to 19 December 2025, and the September 2026 admit cards at 14 August 2026, with the Foundation exam starting on 2 September.

The January 2027 Intermediate exams start on 2 January and Foundation on 3 January, so it is sensible to start checking SSP in the first half of December 2026. That is a planning suggestion drawn from past sessions, not an ICAI date. The admit card is also generated only for candidates whose exam application is on record, so it should not appear before the application and correction windows close on 22 November.

Official CA Foundation Admit Card Download Link

The only official place to download the admit card is ICAI's Self Service Portal: eservices.icai.org. It is the same portal you use for course registration and the exam form. ICAI's announcements are published on icai.org.

Link status: The "Foundation, January 2027" admit card link is not active yet. Until ICAI releases it, the portal above is the correct place to log in and check. Ignore any website, Telegram group or WhatsApp message that asks for money or offers a "direct PDF". ICAI does not send admit cards by post, and Sachin Ajmera Classes is not an official ICAI source and cannot release or influence your admit card.

How to Download the CA Foundation Admit Card (Step by Step)

Once ICAI releases the card, the process is expected to match recent sessions:

  1. Open eservices.icai.org on a laptop or desktop browser.
  2. Click the admit card link for the Foundation examination, January 2027, when it appears.
  3. Log in with your SSP username and password.
  4. Click Download Admit Card.
  5. Check every detail on the screen (see the sections below).
  6. Save the PDF and print at least two clear copies.

Button and link names can change, so follow what the portal actually shows.

Login Details Required for the Admit Card

You need your SSP credentials:

  • Username: your student registration number (SRN) followed by @icai.org
  • Password: the password you set for SSP

ICAI's announcement tells students who have forgotten their password to use the forgot password option on SSP. Test your login now, well before the admit card is released, so a locked account does not cost you time in December. If the reset does not work, write to the SSP helpdesk (ssp.helpdesk@icai.in) with your SRN and a short description of the problem.

Some older articles mention date of birth as a login detail. Recent sessions have used SSP credentials, so rely on your SSP username and password.

Details to Verify on Your CA Foundation Admit Card

Check the card as soon as you download it. Look for:

  • Name spelled correctly
  • Registration number (SRN)
  • Course and session: Foundation, January 2027
  • Photograph and signature: present and clearly visible
  • Exam city and centre address
  • Medium: English or Hindi, as you chose in the exam form
  • Paper dates and timings
  • Instructions to examinees printed on the card

Read the printed instructions fully. ICAI has asked students to go through the "Instructions to Examinees" that come with the admit card, and those instructions are the final word on what is allowed at your centre.

How to Check Your Exam Centre, Date and Timing

Your admit card shows the exam city and centre allotted to you. The city is the one you selected in the exam form, or the one you changed during the 20 to 22 November correction window. ICAI is holding the January 2027 exams in specified cities across India and in three overseas cities: Bahrain, Dubai and Kathmandu. ICAI has also reserved the right to withdraw any city or centre, so keep watching official updates until the exam.

The official timings (IST) are:

DateDayPaperSubjectTimeReading time
3 January 2027SundayPaper 1Accounting2 PM to 5 PM1:45 to 2 PM
5 January 2027TuesdayPaper 2Business Laws2 PM to 5 PM1:45 to 2 PM
7 January 2027ThursdayPaper 3Quantitative Aptitude2 PM to 4 PMNone
9 January 2027SaturdayPaper 4Business Economics2 PM to 4 PMNone

ICAI has stated that the schedule will not change even if a date is declared a public holiday by the Central Government, a State Government or a local body. For overseas centres, the start time is 2:30 PM in Dubai, 11:30 AM in Bahrain and 2:15 PM in Kathmandu, each equal to 2 PM IST.

What to Do If the Admit Card Is Not Showing or Will Not Download

Work through these checks in order:

  1. Check your exam form. Confirm that your application and online payment were recorded on SSP and that your exam form PDF was generated. In ICAI's guidance for the previous session, a deduction from your bank account alone did not confirm submission.
  2. Check your Class 12 proof. If you applied before your Class 12 result, you must upload your Class 12 admit card or marksheet on SSP by the deadline in the January 2027 Guidance Notes. For September 2026, ICAI did not issue admit cards to candidates who missed this step. If you are unsure whether you qualify at all, read our guide to CA eligibility criteria.
  3. Try again later or on another browser. Clear your cache or use a private window. Portals slow down when many students log in together.
  4. Reset your password if the login fails.
  5. Contact ICAI. For Foundation admit card issues, write to the Foundation examination helpline (foundation_examhelpline@icai.in). Include your name, SRN, course and a screenshot of the error.

Do this as soon as the card is released. Do not wait for exam week to discover a problem.

What to Do If Details on the Admit Card Are Incorrect

  • Wrong exam city or medium: These could be changed only in the correction window, 20 to 22 November 2026. For the previous session, ICAI allowed a single correction request and no changes after the window closed, so check your choices carefully if you use it.
  • Wrong name, photograph, signature or another personal detail: Email the Foundation examination helpline straight away with your SRN, a screenshot of the card and a supporting document. Keep a copy of ICAI's reply and carry a printout of it to the centre.
  • Do not edit the printout by hand. An altered admit card can create bigger problems at the centre than the original error.

CA Foundation January 2027 Exam-Day Instructions

The timings above come from ICAI's January 2027 announcement. For the rules below, items marked "September 2026" come from ICAI's Guidance Notes for that session, which used the same 2 PM paper timings. Re-check each one against the January 2027 Guidance Notes on eservices.icai.org and the instructions printed on your own admit card.

Reporting and timing

  • Entry: Centre entry began at 1:15 PM in September 2026.
  • Reading time: 15 minutes, from 1:45 to 2 PM, for Papers 1 and 2 only. There is no reading time for Papers 3 and 4.
  • Late entry: Allowed up to 15 minutes after the start in September 2026. Do not plan around it.
  • Early exit: Not permitted in September 2026, even if you finish early.
  • Paper 1 is on a Sunday (3 January). Check transport and travel time in advance.

Answering rules

  • Medium: English or Hindi, as selected in your exam form. For Papers 3 and 4, the OMR answer sheet was available only in English in September 2026, even for Hindi-medium candidates.
  • Negative marking: In Papers 3 and 4, one-fourth of a mark is deducted for each wrong answer. Marking more than one circle for a question counts as incorrect (September 2026).
  • Calculator: Only a battery-operated portable calculator with up to six functions, 12 digits and two memories was allowed. Scientific calculators were not permitted, and using a non-conforming one counted as unfair means (September 2026).

For paper-wise preparation, see our CA Foundation September 2026 exam-day guidelines, which cover the last-minute dos and don'ts for the previous session.

Documents and Items to Carry

Carry only what your admit card instructions allow. Based on ICAI's requirements and recent-session reports, plan for:

  • Printed admit card: a clear printout, plus a spare copy in a separate folder.
  • Valid original photo ID: check the list of accepted IDs in the instructions on your admit card. Reports for recent sessions mention documents such as Aadhaar, PAN card, passport, driving licence and voter ID.
  • Pens: blue or black ballpoint pens, as reported for recent sessions. Carry more than one.
  • Permitted calculator: one that meets the specification above.

Items you should not carry

  • Mobile phones. In September 2026, even a switched-off phone inside the exam hall was treated as unfair means. ICAI's Examination Department has also announced stringent action, debarring candidates found with mobile phones inside the examination hall from CA exams for five years.
  • Smartwatches and other electronic devices.
  • Books, notes or written material.

ICAI's centre guidelines mention a mobile and bag counter, but do not count on one. Leave devices and valuables at home.

Important Reminders for CA Foundation January 2027 Candidates

  • Do not wait for the last day. Download, check and print your admit card as soon as it is available.
  • Respect the form deadlines. The last date with a late fee is 19 November 2026. ICAI's guidance for the previous session said no further opportunity is given after that date.
  • Use official sources only. Admit card information is posted on SSP and icai.org.
  • Do not expect holiday relief. The exam schedule will not move for a public holiday.
  • Keep checking updates. ICAI can withdraw a city or centre, so look at official notices before travelling.

What to Do After Downloading Your Admit Card

  1. Verify every detail against your SSP profile and exam form. Report errors at once.
  2. Save and print. Keep the PDF in your email and on a pen drive, and carry printed copies.
  3. Plan your route. If possible, visit the centre area beforehand at around 2 PM to estimate travel time.
  4. Pack the night before: admit card, photo ID, pens and calculator in one transparent pouch or folder.
  5. Use the remaining days for revision, not new topics. ICAI has announced two mock test series before the exam, with Series I from 1 to 9 December and Series II from 14 to 21 December 2026. Our guide to CA Foundation January 2027 mock test papers has the subject-wise dates and access steps.
  6. Follow a realistic plan. Our CA Foundation January 2027 study plan helps you divide the final weeks, and the CA course syllabus guide lets you confirm what each paper covers.
  7. Practise with a real paper. Attempt the CA Foundation September 2026 question paper in the actual 2 PM slot to train your body clock.
  8. Protect your routine. Good time management for CA exams and a sensible daily load matter more now than extra hours. See how many hours to study daily for CA and CMA if you want a benchmark.

Frequently Asked Questions About CA Foundation Admit Card January 2027

1. When will the CA Foundation January 2027 admit card be released?
ICAI has not announced a release date. The exams start on 3 January 2027, and media reports put recent admit cards roughly 19 to 30 days before the Foundation exam. Start checking SSP in the first half of December, but wait for ICAI's confirmation before treating any date as final.

2. Has ICAI released the CA Foundation January 2027 admit card?
No. As of 2 November 2026, the admit card has not been released. ICAI has published the exam schedule and the exam form dates. The exam form itself only opens on 3 November 2026, so the admit card comes later.

3. Where can I download the CA Foundation admit card?
Download it from ICAI's Self Service Portal at eservices.icai.org after ICAI activates the January 2027 link. Do not use third-party sites that claim to share the admit card, and do not pay anyone for it.

4. How do I download the ICAI CA Foundation admit card?
Log in to SSP, open the Foundation January 2027 admit card link, enter your username and password, and click Download Admit Card. Then check the details, save the PDF and print at least two copies. Button names may change when ICAI releases the link.

5. What login details are required?
You need your SSP username, which is your registration number followed by @icai.org, and your SSP password. If you have forgotten the password, use the forgot password option on SSP. Test your login before the admit card is released.

6. Can I download the admit card without my registration number?
No. Your SSP username is built from your student registration number, so you cannot log in without it. If you have lost your registration number, check your ICAI registration communication or contact the SSP helpdesk (ssp.helpdesk@icai.in) well before December.

7. What should I do if the admit card is not available?
First confirm that your exam form and payment were recorded on SSP and that your Class 12 proof is uploaded. Then retry on another browser, reset your password if needed, and email the Foundation examination helpline with your SRN and a screenshot of the error.

8. What should I do if there is an error in my admit card?
Contact the Foundation examination helpline immediately with your SRN, a screenshot and supporting proof. Exam city or medium changes were possible only in the 20 to 22 November 2026 correction window. Keep ICAI's reply and carry a printout to the centre.

9. Is a printed admit card required at the exam centre?
Plan to carry a clear printout. ICAI does not send admit cards by post, and mobile phones are not allowed inside the examination hall, so you cannot show the card on a phone. Follow the instructions printed on your own admit card.

10. Which documents should I carry on exam day?
Carry your printed admit card and a valid original photo ID. Check your admit card for the list of accepted IDs. Also bring pens and, if you use one, a calculator that meets ICAI's specification. Leave mobile phones, smartwatches and notes at home.

Conclusion

The CA Foundation January 2027 admit card is not out yet, and ICAI has not announced when it will be. What you can do now is set up your SSP login, finish your exam form before 16 November (or 19 November with a late fee), use the 20 to 22 November window carefully if you need to change your city or medium, and keep your documents ready. When the card appears, download it from eservices.icai.org, verify every detail, print it and report any error immediately.

Use the weeks ahead for revision rather than panic. If you would like a clear plan, regular tests and mentoring for CA Foundation, you can learn about SAC's CA coaching in Jaipur, look at the online course options if you are outside Jaipur, or get in touch through the contact page or on 99502 90358 to ask about batches that fit your timeline.
